I am so blessed. I am sitting here thanking God for everything I have. I just came across a blog about a young family that lost their 9 month old to an infection the other day. It all happened so quickly. I couldn't even read it all, I just couldn't, too horrible. It got me thinking, I am so extremely blessed. Yeah, we have had some (very small) medical problems in the past, that have led to money issues that are working out, but other than that WE ARE BLESSED. My daughter's problems are fixing themselves, and she is great now. The girls are beautiful, my husband is amazing, we are able to provide for our family, and we are blessed.
I have to keep telling myself that, and after coming across such a sad blog, and such sad things that have happened to others, I know, we are so fortunate and have such a nice wonderful life. Sometimes things don't go my way, or things happen in my family life and I question it, but nothing that can't easily be solved. I am now looking at the big picture in life. Not the small things that might make for a not so great day, but the wonderful things that I have been given. Today is a good, no make that great day. I am going to start thanking God a lot more and be more grateful for what is given to me.

Wigging out (day 48)
Wow, I can't believe I have already been blogging almost 50 days. (sorry, thinking to myself). Anyways, I was playing dress up with the kids today and was able to catch a few pictures of them with their new wigs on. Sorry it was taken with my phone, I know that if I were to go get the camera the moment would have passed.

Costumes (day 47)
My girls love to dress up, I mean, if you give them a chance, they will be in their trunk full of clothes all day. So what better time to stock up on costumes than the days after Halloween? So I decided to take a trip to the store down the road and find some bargains.
I was kinda worried that they would be pretty picked through when I arrived since Halloween was a couple of days ago. To my surprise there were a ton of costumes, unfortunately most were pretty large. I did find some that would work, but I think the best part are going to be the wigs!
I can't wait till tomorrow to show the girls, particularly my oldest. I know she will squeal with joy once she sees what goodies she got. I will post lots of pictures (hopefully) tomorrow of the girls in their new gear!
I still have a lot going on lately so the post have been slightly vague and boring, but soon they should pick up and be more interesting, I think.

Halloween part II (day 46)
Yesterday I posted a bunch of photos from the day, today I want to post what happened in more words than photos.
So anyways, yesterday we had our second annual Halloween Party and Hay Ride. My husband and I decided that we wanted to do something for the kids. So we spent the morning cleaning, getting things together, cookies, cupcakes, snacks, you know, fun stuff.
Well, the party was supposed to start at 2:30, people started showing up around 3. You know how it is, everyone had to get the kids dressed and ready for an evening of fun.
The kids were let loose and played till their hearts were content, they loved decorating cookies, eating cupcakes and playing on the playscape. We set up the Wii Just Dance, and they worked up quite a sweat. If you have a Wii then you should definitely invest in the game, it's great, and a nice workout. I had some other activities planned, but you know how plans are changed around when their are kids involved.
Well the evening progressed and it was time for the hay ride. Now this was our baby's first time on a hay ride and you can bet she had a blast. I think the wind was something she never expected, she would let the wind whip through her barely there hair and yell at the wind. We got to the houses, where let out, and started on the trick or treating.
I put the girls in their wagon and off we went. We would get to a house, the girls would get out, the oldest would take off with the rest of the group while I helped the younger up to the door. She got really good at holding her bucket. At one point I tried to help her hold her bucket. She looked at me and kinda growled and snatched it away. It was actually really cute.
So we hit up some houses, I guess a lot of people weren't expecting trick or treaters at 6:30 because a lot of lights and unopened doors were left behind.
It was a lot of fun, the girls had the best time ever. Sorry the post is so short, it has been a crazy few weeks with photos, and life. Hopefully, it will start slowing down really soon, until then...tootaloo!

Happy Halloween (day 45)
Long day, very long day, but oh it was so so great!! We had a festival at our house, went on a hay ride, then trick or treating, the baby's first real Halloween, and she had a ball. She refused to let me hold the candy bucket, and tried to give her candy to the people we were trick or treating at! My oldest had the best day ever, everyone is in bed and I am about to follow suite!

Photo Shoot (day 45)
I did a mini photo shoot for one of my good friends (Here is her blog) that I have know for over 10 years. Her beautiful little girl is turning one in a few days so I did a shoot. Alex was so much fun to photograph, that little grin, and beautiful face. We had a great time, I would follow her around, singing songs offtune, she would smile, I would snap away, then more chasing would pursue. Here are a few of the shots from earlier.

Halloween (day 44)
The leaves are falling, the weather is cooling off, the holidays are around the corner, and this weekend is Halloween. My oldest is so excited, this year she gets it, she knows she is going to go to houses, knock on doors, and get some CANDY. What she doesn't know is that she won't get that much of it, maybe a few pieces spread out over days. But that doesn't detract away from the fact that it will be so much fun.
So we are all looking forward to trick or treating and having a fun filled day at the house. Today was also good. We had more fun activities with the kids, we made Halloween cookies. I have this great box of cookie cutters that I got awhile ago. I have been attempting to use all of them spread out over time. So we made cat, bat, pumpkins, moon, and ghost cookies. The kids love to watch the kitchenaid stir the batter. The kids then get to chose which cookie cutters they like better and press down on the dough to create their shapes. The kids grinned and giggles and the cookies went into the oven.
While we waited for the cookies to bake the kids played, then help me stir the food coloring into the icing mix. Their eyes lit up when the red and yellow mixed to create orange, the orange, blue, and green mash to become black. They loved it.
Next week will be the start of Thanksgiving month, and boy do I have lots to be thankful for, a loving husband, beautiful kids, great jobs, and more. I know there are things that need to improve, but who's life is so perfect that improving isn't in the cards.
